Building physics for renovation construction
Organizers: RKL and RIA
Building physics has become a key area of expertise in modern construction. For example, moisture damage and mold problems in structures, as well as tightening energy saving targets, have caused the construction industry to constantly need new information on solving problems related to building physics.
The aim of the training is to share this information with construction professionals. The training lasts four hours.
Building Physics training is suitable for all parties involved in a building and renovation project, such as structural designers, architects, developers, property managers, responsible foremen, and condition assessors.
Training content
1. Fundamentals of building physics and moisture management (1 h, Ralf Lindberg)
- The building's physical performance during different seasons
- Simple calculations in building physics
- Examples of applying calculations
2. Examples of damage related to moisture technology (2 h, Pasi Haataja)
- Damage to the exterior wall structure
- Damage to the lower parts of the exterior wall
- Damage to subfloor structures
- Damage to superstructures
- Damage to wet areas
3. Explanations of problems related to building physics (1 h, Ralf Lindberg)
- Soil water and moisture behavior
- Moisture behavior of concrete
- Moisture transfer rates
- Drying of moisture during construction
The trainers are Ralf Lindberg and Pasi Haataja.
Entry fee:
The training is €50 for those who have paid the annual fee for RKL or RIA.
For others €120.
